The Twilight Gala is the grand finale event of the Green Power Festival and will offer people the opportunity to dance the night away to top-notch music in the heart of the Port Augusta cultural precinct. Live Entertainment will be provided by Mr Buzzy and The Big Band Theory, Abraska and Andy Killcross. There will also be a variety of food stalls available so you will be sure to find something satisfying and delicious to enjoy while sipping on a nice cold beverage from the bar.

Tour the gardens on this special tour hosted by the Friends of the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden. Learn how plants adapt to hot weather and a lack of water. Touch, smell and taste the plants and gain a fascinating insight into how native plants survive our harsh environment. 

Please note: It is recommended participants wear closed-in shoes and a hat for this tour.

Port Augusta Secondary School has just recently opened their new STEM facility, and new teaching programs in the centre have a strong focus on sustainability. From the ways in which we generate electricity, to how we make better use of our world’s resources and how we deal with the waste that we produce, students are engaging in a range of tasks that get them to consider their impact on the world, and how they can make a difference. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to see how students are engaging with these ideas, as well as have the opportunity to see and potentially use the tools they are using to turn their ideas into solutions.
